Key Question #10 — What are my qualifications? Depending on the type of practice you are building, professional credentials, academic degrees, certifications and designations may be vital to your competitive standing and ultimate success. Even in situations where such credentials are not required, affiliations with professional associations and enhanced training could make the difference between who is selected and who is not. Obviously, you should obtain all of the formal credentials appropriate for the practice you are trying to build — but they’re just scratching the surface of the possibilities.
